FERNDALE, Wash. — Whatcom County Fire District 7 (WCFD7) personnel were dispatched to a report of a motorhome fire in the 2000 block of Brown Road about 6:50pm last night, January 7th.
WCFD7 Division Chief Ben Boyko was one of the first on the scene and reported the motorhome was fully involved and directed firefighters to take up defensive positions to protect nearby vehicles and trees.
The adult occupant told Boyko they had stepped out to visit a neighbor and came back to find the motorhome on fire. No one was injured but the occupant lost everything in the fire. American Red Cross Northwest Region was contacted to assist according to Boyko.
Ferndale Police were investigating the cause of the fire Boyko said.
