The Ferndale School District posted the following message to their Facebook followers this morning.

Last night at approximately 10:00 PM an arrest was made at the home of a Ferndale High School student for threats of violence made to other Ferndale High School students.

As always, our partners in the Ferndale Police Department were diligent in investigating this matter and we are grateful. We would also like to thank the students who spoke up and let us know that a threat had been made.

Ferndale Police will have an increased presence on the Ferndale High School campus for the next two days to support the FHS community. Please know that this presence is intended as a support. It is not an indication that the threat is continuing.
