2018 Ferndale Street Festival has something for everyone

The 2018 Ferndale Street Festival marks the 16th year the event has been held. Produced by the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce, the event attracts thousands from around the area to historic Downtown Ferndale where there are over 100 vendors selling everything from crafts to food along with kids activities, a car show and live bands with a beer garden nearby.

This year’s event will be held the evening of Friday, August 24th and all day Saturday, August 25th. Drivers should plan for road closures in the downtown area, including Main Street on Saturday, as a result.

KIDS STREET
Kids Street includes a live stage with entertainers, a fire engine, a bouncy house, face painting and the annual Money Hunt. Kids Street is located on 3rd Avenue between Main Street and Vista Drive is open Saturday from 10 am – 6pm.

Pony Rides & Petting Zoo 10am – 4pm
Bouncy House 10am – 6pm
Reptile Isle on the Kids Stage 12pm – 1pm and 3pm – 4pm
Kid’s Zumba on the Kids Stage 1:15pm – 2pm
Money Hunt 2pm – 3pm
Craft Tent 10am – 6pm
Face Painting 10am – 6pm

LIVE MUSIC & DANCING
Friday evening and Saturday there will be live music at the Main Stage located on 2nd Avenue between Main Street and Vista Drive.

PIE EATING CONTEST
There will be a Pie Eating Contest from 1pm to 2pm on Saturday at the Main Stage. There will separate competitions for ages 10 and under, 11 to 18 years and 18 & over.

FESTIVAL OF FENDERS CAR, TRUCK & MOTORCYCLE SHOW
The Car Show is located on 3rd Avenue between Main Street and Alder Street on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
