Curry House – 2034 Main Street

January 1, 2020 marked the first day of the Curry House began operating under new ownership. While the menu has remained the same, new owner Rajveer Sangha said beginning this Thursday, January 23rd, changes can be expected.

The Curry House had been operated by former owners, known to their customers simply as Saab and Pam, for 14 years.

Sangha said he is excited for Thursday because that is when their new menu, developed by his chef with 14 years of experience, will be available to customers. Customers will notice some new items. Sangha said that while they will be offering Indian entrees popular with north American customers, they will also include some based on 3,000-year-old recipes they may not have tried before.

Along with a new menu, Sangha said they will soon be offering lunch specials that will enable customers with limited time to enjoy a great lunch quickly and at an affordable price.

Sangha says to-go orders can be placed online and they work with local delivery services UberEats, Doordash & Viking Food.

Curry House is open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm.

Rosas operated Taco Magallon for the month of October just to make sure his plans would work at the unusual location inside the Shell gas station and convenience store located at 1811 Main Street. Now, Rosas says he has received his business license for his new endeavor, Tacos Guadalajara.

The location has a long history as a dependable provider of authentic Mexican fare. Tadeos, perhaps more known for their locations on Northwest Avenue and on Holly Street in Bellingham, operated their Ferndale location there beginning in 2014. Then, in January 2019, Tacos Magallon opened.

Customers can watch as Rosas prepares their orders mostly from scratch and made-to-order from behind the counter.

Grubhub is the recommended delivery service for those unable to make it in according to Rosas. Rosas pointed out that they also have a drive-up window so customers do not need to even get out of their cars.

Tacos Guadalajara is open from 11am to 9pm, Mondays through Saturdays.
