A sheep reported on the “lamb” in north Ferndale

A presumed to be escaped sheep has been spotted in northern neighborhoods within the city limits today.

It was first reported to be running through the area of Sunshine Drive and Pine Drive this morning and soon after reported in the area of Artist Drive and Shannon Avenue. Then this afternoon, it was spotted crossing Vista Drive near Vista Middle School.

According to the Whatcom Humane Society (WHS), they are aware of the lost sheep and have been in contact with the owner who is trying to locate it. Anyone with information about the sheep’s location should call WHS at (360) 733-2080 x3006.

WHS contracts with the City of Ferndale to provide animal control services.
