Contrary to the signs previously noted in the windows at Babe’s Place Restaurant & Lounge, the iconic Ferndale restaurant is not closed for remodeling. According to a story recently posted by Dave Gallagher at the Bellingham Herald, the current owners have lost their lease and will not be reopening. In addition, notices recently popped up online advertising an upcoming “estate sale” at the Babe’s Place location.
According to the Herald article,
“It’s hard to sell anything, but we won’t give up,” DiLorenzo said on the prospect of bringing back Babe’s Place to Ferndale.
The restaurant management left this parting message in the ads for the liquidation sale,
“The Management at BABES would like to Thank Everyone for the Good Times & Continued Community Support over the years! So come on down and get a piece of Babes this Friday! Special Thanks to 69″er Car Club, Ferndale HS Football Team, Young Life Church Group, “The Morning Crew” The GP Guys, and Ethel, Nyla & The McKays!”
According to the advertisements, the “estate sale” will run from 10:00AM till 8PM Friday Jan 9th,
