Bellingham robbery suspect in custody in Pierce County Jail

The suspect being sought by Bellingham Police in a March 2nd bank robbery has been arrested and booked into Pierce County Jail in Tacoma by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department yesterday according to jail records.

Leevi Allen Rosso, age 24, was booked into the jail yesterday, March 10th, about 3pm yesterday due to a Department of Corrections warrant for a felony community custody violation and a Whatcom County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Bellingham Police said on March 6th they had probable cause to arrest Rosso for 1st degree robbery as a suspect in the March 2nd robbery of a Bellingham Whatcom Educational Credit Union (WECU) branch

Rosso was convicted of 2nd degree robbery and unlawful possession of firearms in Snohomish County Superior Court in 2017. In August of 2019, a notice of a felony warrant from the state Department of Corrections’ Everett office for Rosso was published by the Everett Herald.

On February 12th, a bench warrant was issued by Whatcom County Superior Court for Rosso’s arrest after he failed to appear for a hearing while out on a $15,000 appearance bond.
