Big Weather Change Forecasted

- advertisement -Click for more information

cold weatherThe forecast today is for a high of 45 F and mid-20’s F tomorrow. The good news is Nooksack River flooding is expected to be minor (low-lying pasture lands adjacent to the river).

That twenty-degree drop should get your attention. It means that now is the time, if you haven’t already, to take action to minimize the risk of freezing pipes.

  • drain any exterior hoses (e.g. garden and A/C).
  • disconnect garden hoses from exterior faucets
  • cover exterior faucets with insulated covers
  • close crawlspace vents

Also surface water from the recent heavy rains will likely freeze causing dangerous conditions for driving and walking.
