Call for artists and mural design ideas for water tank at Thornton & Vista

The City of Ferndale’s Arts Commission has put out a call for artists and for designs for a mural to be painted on a 10-foot by 140-foot space on the side of the water tank located at the northeast corner of Vista Drive and Thornton Street.

According to an announcement from the City today, “Successful design ideas will reflect a sense of Ferndale identity.” The section for the mural will be positioned facing the intersection.

Call for artists responses and design ideas can be submitted using the appropriate downloadable form (call for artists, design ideas) or by picking one up in the lobby at City Hall.

Submissions will be accepted at City Hall until June 9th with a goal of being able to complete the painting by August 31st.
