City of Ferndale launches “The Great Ferndale Midsummer Mystery”

Designed to get people active outside, exploring and enjoying the amenities of Ferndale, The Great Ferndale Midsummer Mystery launched today with the the first of several clues having been issued by City of Ferndale staff.

Part of the City’s 2018 “Summer of Fun” events, this scavenger hunt spans the month of July. Teams of up to 5 people will use clues issued by City staff via social media, the City’s website and posted in the lobby at City Hall to locate secret codes in “envelopes of evidence” placed around the City. The secret code is a word scramble. Unscrambling all the clues will provide the answer to the question, “Who stole the spirit of Ferndale?”

Teams will record their findings on a scorecard (click link to download). Completed scorecards will be due 4pm on Tuesday, July 24th. Prizes to be awarded are as follows:

1st Place: $500 Cash, misc. toys and prizes
2nd Place: $250 Cash, misc. toys and prizes
3rd Place: $100 Cash, misc. toys and prizes
4th – 6th places: Gift certificates to local businesses.
