Community invited to help build pieces of Ferndale Library tile mosaic art

The community is invited to participate in the making of a tile mosaic art piece that will be located on a wall outside the Ferndale Public Library.

Ferndale Arts Commission is sponsoring a community art project that will result in a tile mosaic on a currently blank concrete retaining wall outside the Ferndale Public Library. Community members will, during 4 workshops, create the many elements of the garden-theme
tile mosaic which will then be installed by Bellingham-based Mosaic Artist Debbie Dickinson.

The 1st of 4 scheduled workshops was held yesterday at the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center. Photos from the event were provided by Colleen Harper, Barbara Ingram and Loretta Sheldon.

Future Saturday workshops are scheduled at the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center on January 26th and February 9th and 23rd. Participants are invited to drop-in any time between 9:30am and 1pm on those dates. Each workshop ends at 2:30pm.
