5pm tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16th, Ferndale City Council and city staff will hold a study session just prior to the regular council meeting to discuss a draft for renovations to the vacant city-owned building located at 2113 Main Street between city hall and the public library.
According to documents provided by the city (PDF), draft drawings demonstrating the feasibility of utilizing the building, referred to as the “pizza annex” in the city council meeting agenda, will be discussed. A draft drawing included in the documents shows the main floor being utilized for council chambers, court room and city staff offices.
The public is welcome to attend the study session which will be held in council chambers in the City Hall Annex at 2nd Avenue and Vista Drive.
The building was the former location of Dimitri’s Restaurant. According to county records, the city acquired the lot and building from John Damiandis in 2008 for $480,000.
