Strider Construction will be installing a new “fish friendly” passage where Smuggler’s Slough passes under Lummi Shore Drive (see map below). This will replace an existing concrete culvert.
During the 2-week long project, Lummi Shore Road is expected to be closed to all through traffic between Haxton Way and Kwina Road. The project will begin Wednesday, April 26th and is expected to continue to Wednesday, May 10th.
Lummi Shore Drive will remain open to local traffic from Kwina Road to residences south of the culvert work area.
Lummi Shore Drive is expected to re-open to through traffic Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
