Douglas Road and Ferndale Terrace incurred significant road surface damage during the thaw following several days of subfreezing temperatures. This has left them closed to traffic for over a week.
City staff announced today work has been underway to repair the effected areas and paving, the final step to reopening the roads, is scheduled for Monday. According to City staff, “Paving is scheduled for Monday, Jan 30th, and the roads will be reopened with no restrictions after that is complete, provided the weather cooperates.”
While rain is expected on Sunday, Monday’s forecast is for 10% chance of rain.
