Hundreds of music students and their families will converge on the Ferndale High School gymnasium Saturday, March 24th, as Ferndale hosts this year’s annual San Juan Music Educators Association (SJMEA) Elementary Choir Festival.
Ferndale School District officials say 441 students from 22 schools are registered for this year’s Elementary Choir Festival.
There will be a morning session followed by performance at 11:30am and an afternoon session followed by a performance at 3:30pm. District officials say the community is welcome to attend both performances. Performances are free and should last about 30 minutes.
Schools from Whatcom, Skagit and Island Counties participate in several annual SJMEA events which also include a jazz festival along with large group and solo events.
