Family plans search for missing Custer man

On November 16th, the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person in the north Custer area. Family members said Billy Joe Darwin had not been seen since early that morning or since in spite of searches by law enforcement and family.

Family members say they are forming a search party tomorrow, Sunday, December 9th and hope others will join the effort. Participants are asked to meet at 12pm at 8787 Valley View Road in Custer (see map below). 

Darwin is described as 5-foot and 10-inches tall weighing 121 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. He was last known to be wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, brown coat and black shoes.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to search the area for him.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Billy Darwin are asked to call the What-Comm 911 dispatch center at 360-676-6911.
