UPDATED: Ferndale area weather-related closures and delays announced

The following agencies, organizations and business have announced they will be canceling or delaying opening or providing services due to the winter weather impacts.

  • Ferndale YMCA – delayed opening, will open at 8am but 8am Cardio Strength and SilverSneakers classes are canceled.
  • Lummi Nation School – closed Monday
  • Locker Room Fitness – morning classes are canceled
  • Everyday Fitness – 5am and 6am classes are canceled

Ferndale School District officials say they expect to be out assessing road conditions after 3am and will announce any bus route changes, schedule changes or cancellations by 6am.

  • Ferndale School District – all schools will be closed Monday. All school and district activities are also canceled for before and after school and in the evening.
  • Boys & Girls Club Ferndale Clubhouse – closed
  • Pioneer Meadows Montessori School – closed
  • The Loving Tree AM and PM Preschool – closed
  • Providence Christian School Northwest – closed
  • Ferndale Senior Activity Center – closed
  • Ferndale Public Library – open at noon. Toddler Time is canceled.
  • Borthwick Jewelry – closed
  • Flow Motion – closed. All classes and appointments are cancelled.
  • Ferndale City Hall – open and City Council will be held as scheduled at 6pm.
  • Sanitary Service Company (SSC) crews will continue making curbside garbage and recycling pickups as scheduled but, according to their website, delays and service disruptions are possible. Click here for more information.
  • Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) buses are running this morning on all routes. Routes 512 and 533 will be using chains. Be prepared for delays on all routes. A downed tree means Route 50 will be detoured and missing Marine Drive stops between Bancroft and Hoff Roads.

If your business or agency has delayed or canceled opening tomorrow, Monday, February 4th, contact us and it will be added it to the list.
