Ferndale business promises a colorful entry in the Old Settlers Grand Parade

Looking for 35 to 55 volunteers to walk in the parade.

Northwest Connections partnered with Ferndale’s own Celebrations Balloon Company to do something different for this year’s Lynden Farmer’s Day Parade. Celebrations Balloon Company Owner Sharon Patrick assembled colorful balloon pole bouquets and bursts for participants to carry. The entry received an award and a lot of attention from parade attendees.

Patrick says the Lynden parade was a trial run for what she is planning for the Whatcom Old Settlers Grand Parade on Saturday, July 28th, in Ferndale.

Patrick is looking for 35 to 55 volunteers to walk in the Old Settlers Grand Parade. “The more walkers we have the more spectacular and amazing the parade entry,” according to Patrick. “We will have amazing over-the-top balloon backpacks, parade poles and even some balloon costumes.”

Interested participants can contact Patrick via email to Sharon@CelebrationsBalloonCompany.com. Dance, martial arts, sports and other youth groups are encouraged to contact Patrick.
