FERNDALE, Wash. — Wine Spectator announced earlier this month that it had finalized the list for the 2019 annual Restaurant Awards. Leader Block Wine Co. & Eatery of Ferndale was included in the list.
As 1 of only 2 Whatcom County destinations to receive the award for 2019, Leader Block, located at 2026 Main Street, is recognized for maintaining a wine list that “offers at least 90 selections, features a well-chosen assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.”
Leader Block Wine Director and Director of Operations Amberleigh Brownson said in a press release, “It is our utmost desire to bring wines from around the world to enjoy for all. The education and adventure we bring through the glass is part of our culture, and we are tremendously grateful for achieving this distinction.”
Leader Block is owned by Robert Pinkley who is also a candidate for Mayor of Ferndale in this year’s election.
