Ferndale schools to resume Tuesday barring “something bizarre and unforeseen” occurring overnight.

Ferndale School District officials took to posting comments on social media last night saying to expect classes at Ferndale schools to resume on their regular schedules today, Tuesday, February 19th, “unless something bizarre and unforeseen happens overnight.” In the event of a need to change to school schedules, the comments said, “we will always communicate with our staff, families and community directly.”

The Ferndale School District has followed a practice of “no news is good news” when it comes to communicating whether classes will be held. In short, in the absence of closure information, families and students are to assume classes will be held.

As of 6:30am, no information had been received from district officials regarding any change to school schedules for today.
