Ferndale thrift store opens in Carnation Oxford Building

FERNDALE, Wash. — After weeks of accepting donations, Mystery Thrift, located at 1920 Main Street in Suite 8, opened their doors for the first time this morning, February 20th.

Co-owner Kyle Weiss says customers can expect to find “everything from clothes, toys, electronics, DVDs, home decor, tools, outdoor gear, bikes, furniture … Yeah, pretty much a little bit of everything.”

Weiss says they offer new and used items at garage sale prices. “I think you’re not gonna find better prices anywhere,” Weiss told My Ferndale News.

The door to the store is the first door off Main Street on the east side of the building.

Weiss said during his 20-some years living in Ferndale he has thought it needed a thrift store. “When I’m cleaning out my garage or trying to donate stuff, I always have to drive to Bellingham,” Weiss said. “Lynden is about the same size as Ferndale and they have a thrift store that does really well, stays really busy and serves the community.”

Mystery Thrift also offers 15% off when customers donate items, 10% off for seniors and 10% off for military active, retired and reserve.

Weiss says they feature a new charity, cause or family in need each month and they will receive 10% of sales for that month. The first featured charity through March 31st is The Restorative Community Coalition. Charities, causes and families in need should contact Mystery Thrift for information about being featured.

They are continuing to accept donations of household items during regular business hours.
