123rd Annual Whatcom Old Settlers Pioneer Picnic – 2018

Whatcom Old Settler's Picnic

Parade, food, activities, car show, auction, live music at the Main Stage and much more set around the historic pioneer cabins.

The weekend includes parades, baseball tournament, crafts, food vendors, a talent show, musical entertainment and a beer garden.

It is the longest continually running annual picnic in the state.

Friday, July 27th

  • DUPI Garden Show at Tillicum House 1pm to 9pm
  • Passport Books 1pm to 7pm
  • Horse and Wagon Rides 6:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Fossil Rock with Keith Labounty on Main Stage at 2pm and 6:30pm
  • Junior Parade at 6pm begins at 4th Avenue and Alder Street
  • Beer Garden in the Barn from 12pm to 11pm
  • Teen dance in the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center from 8pm to 11pm
  • Rocky Vasalino Band in the Barn from 8pm to 11pm

Saturday, July 28th

  • Car show at Central Elementary playground from 9am to 3pm
  • L.E.F.T. 5K/2 Mile walk at 9am
  • Grand Parade at 11am begins at Washington Street and 3rd Avenue
  • Pioneer Play Corral 12pm to 6pm
  • Zigzag & Ragz Clowns 12pm to 4pm with free face painting and balloons
  • Passport Books 1pm to 7pm
  • DUPI Garden Show at Tillicum House 1pm to 8pm
  • Horse and Wagon Rides 1pm to 7pm
  • Opening ceremony at Main Stage at 1:15pm
  • Bill White as George Strait 1:30pm and 6:30pm
  • Beer Garden in the Barn from 12pm to 12am
  • Spaceband 9pm to 12am

Sunday, July 29th

  • Church service 10:30am
  • Old-time hymn singalong 2pm
  • Passport Books 12pm to 3pm
  • Beer Garden 12pm to 4pm

The Junior Parade starts at 6pm on Friday night. The Grand Parade starts at 11am Saturday morning. This year’s Grand Parade theme is “Building Friendships, Dreams, & Memories Through Banking.”

The popular Barn Dance begins Saturday at 9pm – 21 & over only.
