Drug Take Back Day at the Ferndale Police Department

The Ferndale Police Department and the US Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 17th opportunity in nine years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Only pills or patches can be accepted. Liquids or needles or sharps cannot. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Ferndale Auxiliary Communications Service net exercise

Volunteers with the Ferndale Auxiliary Communications Service will be in the Ferndale Police Department mobile communications van participating in an exercise referred to as a "NET." The NET is a weekly radio communication exercise conducted between other auxiliary communications groups, emergency responders and government agencies to ensure their equipment and procedures are in place and functioning as expected.
