Flags to fly at half-staff in memory of Okanogan Asst. Fire Chief

Governor Jay Inslee has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, October 24, 2019 in memory of Christian Johnson, Assistant Fire Chief for Okanogan County Fire District #3. Johnson passed away at age 55 on October 2nd, from injuries sustained while fighting the Spring Coulee Fire, south of Okanogan.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 24th, at 1pm at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds Agriplex.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
