Flooding concerns recede with latest forecast

Last weekend, forecasters warned the expected rising snow level and heavy rains would drive the Nooksack River level to over 18 feet, within the official MINOR flood stage range, by Wednesday, December 19th. But the most recent forecast is less concerning.

As of 7:30am this morning, the river level forecast said the level will crest tomorrow about 10am at near the 13-foot mark, well below the official MINOR flood stage.

There is also a crest forecast near the 13-foot mark on Friday about 10am.
