FERNDALE, Wash. — Glenn McAlpine has been installing flooring for decades as a contractor and recently opened a showroom as The Floor Store at 7052 Portal Way, Suite 120 in building I-2.

“Builders and remodelers are our best customers, McAlpine said. “We will be starting a multifamily project in Bellingham in a couple weeks.” They are equipped to sell and install carpet, tile, hardwood, laminate and vinyl plank products.

McAlpine said he recently secured a supply of “phenomenally priced” carpet, vinyl and laminate products that are stocked in Seattle. This eliminates the typically long delays of shipping product from the east coast while maintaining a great price point according to McAlpine.

One of their more unique products are custom colored epoxy floors and countertops. They are able to do unique one-of-a-kind and custom designs. Epoxy countertops are made by pouring epoxy and coloring agents over custom cut particle board and floors are done in a similar fashion.
