FERNDALE, Wash. — National Weather Service forecasters said this morning that the 2 weather systems moving through western Washington today and tomorrow are still expected to heavy rainfall in the northern Cascade Mountains. But not enough to bring the Nooksack River to flood stage.
The weather systems are expected to produce 1 to 2 inches of rainfall which will cause the river to rise significantly over the next few days. But the current river level forecast at Ferndale shows it peaking at about the 14-foot mark about 3am Friday, below the 18-foot official minor flood stage.

River level forecasts can change frequently so drivers and property owners are advised to monitor the Nooksack River level forecast at Ferndale.
