Nearly 100 entries went past thousands of parade fans along a route from Ferndale High School, through downtown Ferndale and on to Pioneer Park, the setting for the 123rd annual Whatcom Old Settlers Picnic.

Following the parade, the crowd made their way down to the park for food, beverages, arts and crafts, live music and entertainment for the kids. As well, the Ferndale Historical Society volunteers were dressed in appropriate pioneer garb while providing hands-on demonstrations of pioneer life in the many authentic cedar cabins.
