Health insurance questions answered Thursday at Ferndale Public Library

On Thursday, November 8th, from 11am to 3pm, representatives from the Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement (WAHA) will be at the Ferndale Public Library to provide free, unbiased, confidential help with finding free or low-cost health care options.

They will be able to help with Medicare, Medicaid and general Washington Healthplanfinder marketplace questions according to a WAHA staffperson.

The six-week open enrollment period for coverage available via the Washington Healthplanfinder marketplace is between November 1st and December 15th.

WAHA also sponsors the local Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) program that helps Medicare consumers.
