Ferndale area firefighters say they will be doing a very unique food drive for the first time this year. They will be coming to Ferndale neighborhoods to collect non-perishable food items for the Ferndale Food Bank and they will be accompanied by Santa.
Whatcom County Fire District 7 firefighters, along with Santa, will be arriving in Ferndale area neighborhoods with decorated antique firetrucks to hand out candy canes and wish neighbors a merry Christmas. They will also be accepting donations of non-perishable items for the Ferndale Food Bank.
Beginning 6pm on Friday, December 8th, neighbors can expect to hear an occasional siren and cheering as the fire trucks and Santa make their way through neighborhoods.
