Look for Santa on a firetruck in a neighborhood near you

Whatcom County Fire District 7 firefighters did a unique food drive through Ferndale neighborhoods, accompanied by Santa, for the first time last year and they say they will be back again this year.

They will be coming to Ferndale neighborhoods to collect non-perishable food items for the Ferndale Food Bank and Santa will be coming along again to help and hand out candy canes.

Last year, neighbors with grocery bags filled with donations lined the sidewalks waiting with excitement several blocks ahead of Santa’s entourage.

This year, organizers say, neighbors will be able to track Santa’s progress through Ferndale neighborhoods with an online tracker. A link to the tracker will be posted to the Whatcom County Fire District 7 website each night Santa and his helpers are out. Click here to track Santa on December 8th.
