Missing your Primary Election ballot? Contact the County Auditor’s office

The Elections Division of the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office mailed out voters’ ballots for the August 7th Primary Election on July 18th. If you are a registered voter and have not received yours yet, you are asked to contact the Elections Division of the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office at (360) 676-6742 any time Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, August 7th, or deposited in an official ballot drop box by 8pm on Election Day. Voters are encouraged to return their ballots early.

2 new elements in this election are prepaid postage for mailed ballots and different method for marking your votes.

  • Ballot envelopes provided are stamped with pre-paid postage. While election rules dictate ballots be postmarked by the Election Day, the United States Postal Service (USPS) is recommending mailing your ballot one week before Election Day.
  • The ballot design is different than prior ballots. To indicate your vote, you are to fill in an oval rather than connect the arrow as has been done in past elections.
