More Roadwork Planned

There will be a couple significant construction projects effecting Ferndale roads next week. One will last for two weeks.

On Monday, March 16, Brown Road will be closed to all through traffic, including emergency vehicles between Malloy Avenue and Portal Way from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. The road will be closed to allow Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) workers to reconstruct the railroad crossing. No detour route will be posted so drivers are advised to plan ahead.

The city has announced they will be planting trees along Church Road north of Main Street in the construction zone. This will require reducing traffic to one lane and will begin next week. The project is planned to continue for about two weeks. Flaggers will be in place to enable alternating one-way traffic while workers plant almost 60 trees along the roadside.
