The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is asking the public’s assistance in locating a Bellingham man wanted for murder resulting from an incident in the 4000 block of Mosquito Lake Road in east Whatcom County on Sunday, October 11th.
Ranahan is wanted in the murder of 41-year-old Clinton E. Gulick of Bellingham. Gulick was found by a passerby deceased on a gravel pullout alongside the road lying next to a vehicle with its engine running about 9am Sunday.
About 8pm Sunday, 36-year-old Roseanne L. Paden of Bellingham was arrested and booked into Whatcom County Jail charged with first-degree murder as a result of the investigation into Gulick’s murder. She is identified as an associate of Gulick’s by WCSO.
If the public has information on Mr. Ranahan’s whereabouts, they are asked to call 9-1-1 or the WCSO Major Crimes tip line at 360-778-6663.
WCSO said they are not releasing any more details on the investigation as it is still an active case but additional information will be released at a later date.
Update 10pm: Whatcom County Jail records indicate Ranahan was arrested and booked into the jail by the WCSO about 9pm October 12th charged with suspicion of first degree murder.
