Pete Harksell, Jr., owner of Pete’s Auto Repair at 6209 Portal Way, was selected for the second year in a row as the 2017 NAPA/ASE Seattle region Technician of the Year. Harksell had previously received the award in 1999, 2014 and 2016.
The award winner is chosen based on specific criteria, including technical skills, business practices, customer feedback, commitment to the industry, dedication to training, and participation in community activities.
Harksell was singled out of 20 nominees from over 200 regional auto care centers serviced by the NAPA Seattle Distribution Center. He was then entered into a national competition of over 60 other regional winners. According to NAPA Seattle Distribution Center Sales Manager Ryan Nowitzke, while Harksell was not awarded the national title, he was one of the finalists.
Pete’s Auto Repair has been a NAPA member since 1992.
