FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale School District officials invite the public to be part of planning the new Ferndale High School project at a town hall meeting Tuesday, June 11th.

According to the district’s announcement, the agenda will include introducing the architects selected for the project, explaining the visioning and design timeline, introducing plans for a Design Advisory Committee and inviting the community to share ideas for the new high school building.

The town hall event will be held at the Ferndale High School cafeteria Tuesday, June 11th, from 6:30pm to 8pm.

Separate from the recently formed Bond Oversight Committee, the proposed Design Advisory Committee will be comprised of up to 25 people. According to the district, “The committee will be charged with (1) researching best practices for high school facilities; (2) soliciting community input; (3) sharing their own expertise; and (4) reviewing and providing feedback on design ideas.”

Anyone interested in serving on the Design Advisory Committee should click here for more information and to get an application. Applications need to be returned to the district by July 31st.
