FERNDALE, Wash. — The fountain at the Centennial Riverwalk Park has been turned off and is expected to not be running again for some time.
City of Ferndale Public Works Supervisor Bo Westford said today they are ordering equipment to make the repairs needed to get the fountain running again after equipment failure forced turning off the fountain.
No estimate was available for when the fountain can be expected to return running again. “Not any time soon,” was the best estimate Westford could provide.
Fortunately, perhaps, the Ferndale area weather forecast is for high temperatures in the low 70s for the near future. Not warm enough to drive most families to the fountain’s cooling spray.
