A few roads have been scheduled to be repaired after being damaged during the thaws following freezing periods last winter.
City of Ferndale crews and their contractor will be patching areas of pavement that suffered frost boil and other winter damage beginning Monday, August 7th, through Friday, August 11th. Drivers should expect delays as traffic will be reduced to single lane traffic with flaggers directing traffic at all locations except Thornton Street which will require a closure of the road at the work site.
The project locations and schedule are as follows:
Thornton Street, between Malloy Avenue and Vista Drive
Starting at 6am Monday, August 7th, through Tuesday, August 8th
Malloy Avenue, between Thornton Street and Seamount Drive
Starting at 6am Monday, August 7th, through Wednesday, August 9th
LaBounty Drive, between Main Street and W Smith Road
Starting at 6am Tuesday, August 8th, through Friday, August 11th
Ferndale Road, between
1st Avenue Cherry Street and Ulrich Road
Starting at 6am Wednesday, August 9th, through Thursday, August 10th
Friday, August 11th – UPDATE Road will be closed during these days.
According to the City staff, Thornton Street will be closed to through traffic starting 6am Monday, August 7th, until Tuesday, August 8th. Traffic will be detoured via Sunrise Street.
