Snow – it is again in the forecast

National Weather Service Seattle office issued a special weather statement this afternoon forewarning of the potential for lowland snow over the weekend.

The NWS statement said, “expect hit-and-miss snowfall accumulations of 1 inch or so at almost any time from Saturday through Monday.” The colder early morning hours are when snowfall is most likely to occur and accumulate. But, according to the NWS, “Any snow accumulations are likely to melt a few hours after occurring.”

Current Environment Canada and Weather Underground BestForecast forecasts are aligning with the NWS weekend forecast, also forewarning of periods of rain and snow.
