Since the 2015-1016 school year, Ferndale School District has provided school supplies for all students in grades K through 5 and for students in grades 6 through 12 who qualify for free or reduced meals.
Supplies provided include pens, pencils, paper, crayons, binders, tissue, erasers and more. Supplies will be delivered to the elementary classroom teachers and ready for students to use on the first day of school. Eligible students in grades 6 through 12 should visit their school’s counseling office the first day of school to receive supplies.
Grades 6 through 12 Supply Lists
High school students will learn about their class-specific supply requirements the first day of school.
Families will still be asked to provide a backpack for each child in all grades.
The Ferndale Family Community Fund has been set up by the Ferndale Community Service Cooperative to assist families in providing their students with backpacks. Their goal is to have backpacks located at each elementary, middle and high school in the Ferndale School District so whenever a student needs a backpack, one is readily available. If assistance is needed, check with the child’s school office once school begins or contact a Ferndale School District Family Support Coordinator at (360) 383-2330 for assistance.
This is an opportunity for the Ferndale community to help with the student backpack program through donations.
Community members and organizations who would like to help can make a monetary contribution to purchase student backpacks and other personal necessities can do so to: Ferndale Family Community Fund, c/o Ferndale Resource Center, P.O. Box 2205, Ferndale, WA 98248. Contributions are tax deductible. Backpacks can also be dropped off at the Ferndale School District Office at 6041 Vista Drive during regular business hours.
