Superfeet employees attend Giving Fair – local charities benefit

FERNDALE, Wash. — Charitable causes operating in the Ferndale area, including the Ferndale Food Bank, Unity Care Northwest and Interfaith Coalition, were among the beneficiaries of Superfeet employees’ generosity during their 2nd annual Giving Fair.

On Thursday, September 26th, the company hosted their 2nd annual Giving Fair which put $140,000 of the organization’s charitable giving decision-making in the hands of the employee-owners.

Local charities staffed booths at the Giving Fair where Superfeet employees got to learn about how each benefit the community. Then 140 Superfeet employee-owners got to choose which of the charitable causes would benefit from $1,000 each employee was made responsible to allocate.

In additional to local grants, national partnerships and the Giving Fair, Superfeet officials note that employees collectively volunteer 1,000 hours each year, partnering with organizations to do everything from trail building on Galbraith Mountain to helping grow produce in the Ferndale Community Garden for the Ferndale Food Bank.
