2 women were transported by a Whatcom County Fire District 7 aid unit to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center this afternoon after the car they were in was t-boned about 3:30pm today as they were driving on Main Street.
According to witnesses, a white compact 4-door vehicle was westbound on Main Street and was in the process turning left into the parking lot by the NAPA Auto Parts store in the 1700 block of Main Street when it collided with an eastbound Saturn 4-door.
Aid crews used extrication tools in order to remove 1 of the 2 women in the white compact car. Both women were transported to the hospital via basic life support protocol (BLS). The driver of the Saturn did not require treatment.
The compact car was towed from the scene and the driver of the Saturn said he hoped to be able to drive it from the scene.

It was less than a month ago when a similar crash at the same location resulted in a 1 vehicle rolled on its side and the driver needing to be extricated from their vehicle.
