Aid and law enforcement were dispatched to a report of a crash at the intersection of Ulrich and Imhof Roads yesterday about 4:45pm.
According to Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Chief Criminal Deputy Doug Chadwick, a gray Kia Soul was southbound on Imhof Road when struck by an eastbound Ford F-150 pickup attempting to turn left onto northbound Imhof Road from the stop sign on Ulrich Road. The Kia sustained damage on the passenger side of the car and ended up facing north in the southbound lane after the crash.
Both vehicles incurred significant damage and while no injuries were reported, the driver of the Kia was transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center as a precaution according to Chadwick. The driver of the Ford pickup was issued an infraction for failure to yield the right of way.
Imhof Road was partially blocked for a short time as a result of the crash and subsequent emergency response.
