Take a look at the candidates

There is an usually high number of political candidates running for local political offices this year and as a result many positions have more than 2 candidates running. Those positions need to be reduced down to 2 candidates who will appear on the November General Election ballots. This will be accomplished with the Primary Election happening now and votes are due by August 6th.

My Ferndale News has compiled information provided by the candidates and other sources into candidate profile pages. You can go to the Election 2019 Page to check out each candidate’s profile in each Primary Election race. Also included are video interviews with those candidates who took advantage of the offer.

Primary Election ballots were mailed Wednesday, July 17th and voters can expect to receive the Local Voters’ Pamphlet within a few days of the ballot, Auditor Debbie Adelstein said on Wednesday. If you are a registered voter and do not receive yours by July 26th, you are asked to call the Election Division of the Auditor’s Office at (360) 778-5102.
