Traffic Alert: Delays can be expected on Vista Drive this week (7/20-7/24)

FERNDALE, Wash. — City of Ferndale Public Works issued a warning to drivers to expect delays through the 5800 block of Vista Drive due to construction from Monday, July 20th to Friday, July 24th, from 7am to 7pm.

Drivers can expect delays as the southbound lane will be closed and traffic shifted into the center 2-way turn lane. Traffic is also expected to be occasionally stopped during this time. Flaggers will be onsite directing traffic through the work area.

The construction work is related to a private development project. The road will remain open during nonworking hours city officials said.

This means we are held to extreme levels of cleanliness, water sampling (the water watering our veggies and berries is tested monthly), sanitization of all upick surfaces, requirement of washing hands before picking, sanitation of buckets, gloves that our employees wear, and numerous other behind the scenes high levels of cleanliness that we are required to have to maintain in order to keep our certification. We are taking clean to the extreme! ⭐️ ⁣

Our blueberry bushes are very plentiful and produce amazing large blueberries due to the fact that they are mostly 20+ years old and a large portion are closer to 40 years old! Variety is Blue Crop.⁣
⁣
Be safe everyone! Happy picking!⁣

Was there last week and it was AMAZING! Couldn't believe how full the bushes were. Was there about 45 minutes and came home with over 12 lbs. Plus my kiddos (5 and 8) had a great time picking too. I appreciated the hand washing and the mask wearing requirements. Thank you guys! You're consistently the best!
