City of Ferndale staff forewarned of a lane shift on Wednesday to allow for work on a waterline in the area. According to reports from readers, there were times during the day, when traffic was reduced to one lane with flaggers directing alternating traffic flow through the one lane causing backups in both directions on Vista Drive.
Today, City staff forewarned work crews will return to the area tomorrow, Friday, July 13th, and driver can expect a lane shift as crews and equipment will be occupying one of the three lanes.
Drivers should plan for backups like those seen Wednesday, especially during the evening commute, and use alternate routes when possible.
