Volunteers sought for new alley mural

FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale Arts Commission (FAC) is coordinating a volunteer downtown alley mural project, funded by a Project Neighborly grant from Whatcom Community Foundation.

On the heels of a recently completed downtown wall mural, the next mural will be done on the pavement, not a wall, in the alley on the south side of Main Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues.

Volunteers will be needed on July 13th and 14th. Both beginner and advanced (those confident painting within lines, painting lines freehand) painters are being sought.

Anyone interested in participating is asked to click here to sign up for a time slot. Any questions can be directed to City Communications Officer Riley Sweeney at (360) 685-2353.
