Weather expected to change in time for 4th of July gatherings

Locals know it is not unusual to enjoy fireworks bundled up, sometimes inside a vehicle with the windshield wipers running. But this year is expected to be different, forecasters tell us.

As of Monday, July 2nd, forecasters expect the Ferndale area weather on Wednesday, July 4th, will include intervals of clouds and sunshine with a high around 80°. Winds are expected to be light and variable.

This is a change from the recent intermittent rains and cooler weather around the Ferndale area. Highs have been in the 60s and with measurable precipitation on all but one day since last Thursday.

The Ferndale area weather is expected to gradually return to cooler temperatures over the days following Wednesday with a high in the 60s by Saturday and an increased chance of rain Friday night.
