The National Weather Service Seattle office has issued a Wind Advisory for Puget Sound areas between and including King and Whatcom Counties from 8pm tonight through 4am tomorrow morning.

According to a statement issued this morning, southerly sustained winds of 20 to 35mph with gusts to 45mph are forecast. The winds are expected to begin increasing early this evening and continue into the early morning hours on Sunday, easing around 4am Sunday morning.

NWS forecasters note isolated power outages are possible under these windy conditions.

Heavy rains are expected this evening and forecasters warn, “Plenty of leaves left on the trees could get blown off tonight. This combined with the rain could result in some clogged storm drains producing minor flooding on area roads.”
