National Weather Service Seattle office forecasters have issued a Wind Advisory that is in effect until 4pm today.

According to forecasters, winds are expected to gradually build beginning this morning and peak in the late afternoon. This is a change from the sudden increases in wind speeds experienced during recent windstorms.

Sustained southerly winds of 20 to 35mph with gusts to 45mph are expected in some western Whatcom, Island and Skagit County areas.
